Default 95 Exhaust flange for Catalytic Coverter rusted

The Exhaust pipe for my 95 Blazer has rusted through next to the flange for the catalytic converter. The converter itself works fine as does the sensor so I hate to have to replace the whole $200+ catalytic converter. Is there any alternatives? A new flange with a little bit of pipe would be perfect. Any help would be appreciated!

guessing there is some of the old flange remaining
If there is you can get 2 split flanges and squeeze a gasket in between
Look like these
Exhaust Direct Online SFlanges1

You will need to know the pipe size
Should be able to get from your local Napa

I had a toyota with the stock SS pipes but the flanges rotted off
That is how I fixed it and drove for another 5 years without issue

The flange completely rusted off the pipe. Also the pipe bends as soon as it leaves the flange so a flange with a straight piece wouldn't work.

part stores sell the bolt on cat conv for $200+ that includes the bent pipe and place for attaching the sensor but the part stores also offer universal cat conv. that don't include the bent pie and flange so I'm hoping there is a place I can but the flange with bent pipe.

Your cheapest bet would be a universal and have someone weld it for you. When you scrap your old cat you will get some money back. We get about sixty bucks here.

The cat converter is fine it's the flange and pipe on the converter that rusted through

What I would try is get a small piece of pipe and with your flange have it welded back on to your converter. If you can take a pic it would be helpfull.

Here's a pic. I already unbolted the flange.

I think a new catalitic convertor is in your future
Usually the pipe is in really good condition just the ears of the flange rott off
I suspect that is already an aftermarket convertor judging by the rust on the pipe
BTW make sure all hangers are in good condition and in place when your repair is done

No easy fish there, you maybe able to have the pipe replaced but its hard to tell since we cant see the other end.If memory serves me crrectly that pipe is part of the converter.Id say the converter needs replacement or.............something forbidden to say on here.

"The forbiden" probably wont help , need to have the ends and thats where the problem is

A trip to a local muffler shop may be an option but I think they are going to tell you you need a new assembly

Unless you can go to a bone yard and they will let you cut an end off an old cat(after all they only want the cat for the guts) , you will still need to take it it a exhaust shop and have them expand the cut off piece so it slips over your old pipe
