Question 96 chevy that 96 parts don't work on. Help figuring out parts

I was told that my 96 Blazer (AWD) is a Canadian made model, which is why most 96 parts won't work. (The production date is actually 12/95). I've had to buy 97 seals, cv axles, and more. Now I have to replace the driver front wheel hub, but I don't know which to order. Auto parts stores and online stores are useless, as they all try to force standard 96 parts on me. My driver cv axle is splined on both ends, but they tried to force me to buy a bolt on. Now the hubs are different for each year, and I don't have the time to reorder. Does anyone know how I can figure this out?

(I also torqued the axle nut to 97 specs, because of the axle, but if it's a 96 spindle, would I use 96 torque? I've never been so confused by a Chevy!)

Does the hub on your truck have visible ribs for the ABS sensor, or not? Is the ABS sensor part of the hub or on the rotor dust shield?

If the hub has visible ribs for the ABS sensor, and the ABS sensor is attached to the dust shield, then you need the older '96 style hub. If there are no visible ribs on the hub, and the ABS sensor is bolted directly to the hub (the wire routes through the dust shield) then you have the newer 97+ style hubs.

As far as the axle nut torque, I think you would be correct using the torque specs of the 97 axle.

Thank you very much. The ribs are visible, and the sensor attaches to the dust shield. Apparently it's a 96 hub, but 97 axle? Maybe the differential was replaced from a 97, because that's the side that seems to be newer model. Again, thank you very much. Ordering a Timken today!
