Exclamation 97 blazer flooding out

Hey everyone....kind of at a loss here.....I have a 97 blazer 4x4 2 dr. 4.3L vortec. I was having a problem with misfiring. changed cap rotor plugs and wires. also replaced fuel pressure regulator. after all this wouldnt start. installed a different spyder. now it starts really rough but only runs for a minute or two then floods itself out. if i wait 24 hrs it will restart but again flood itself out. does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

I'm looking at what you wrote, and the first thing that popped into my head was computer regulation. Check your MAF sensor!!!

If it is dirty, your air/fuel ratio could be thrown off. This could be the reason your baby is getting too much fuel, and why it is running like trash. If, after cleaning, it still runs like trash, unplug the wire connection to the sensor. If by some miracle your truck runs better, your MAF sensor is most likely bad, and requires replacement.

If those don't fix it, investigate a possible vacuum leak.

Well, its a start...good luck! ~Mike
