Default Has anyone bought a remanufactured Spider injector assembly from rockauto before?

i checked my spider in my 95 S10 4.3 "W" vin motor and noticed some small puddling at the bottom of the intake and smells like gas. i assume its leaking fuel maybe? am i on the right track? so now im considering buying a remanufactured injector spider assembly. has anyone ever bought a remanufactured spider injector from rockauto.com before? if so, how was the quality? did it run good after? im considering buying it from them and was wondering any info or experiences from others who have bought it from them. please let me know
thanks so much

I just threw in a rebuilt unit in my 96 in March mainly because I had to redo the intake gaskets and it was right there in front of me.

Unit is good, no problems so far. There are far more here that forgot more then I know but if you have puddling on your manifold that does not sound like the spider is bad. Its sounds like the upper ( black Plastic ) manifold either has a crack in it or someone tightened down one of its bolts and cracked it by the bolt hole. Or you may want to check your seal at the top where the unit attaches to the top manifold. Lots of easy, cheaper things to check first before you purchase a spider unit and then put it in and you still have puddles on your manifold. Good Luck.

Bigdaddy it sounds to me like you have a leaky fuel pressure regulator (FPR). The problem is GM only made the system used on our 95 models for 1 year. The 96 and beyond are a differant type and can not be interchanged. The injector body itself rarely ever goes bad it's the FPR that goes bad. Lindertec.com makes a kit to upgrade the FPR to a 96 or later, it requires you to drill out the 2 FPR hold down holes and grind off a flat spot for a nut to set on. It only took me 1/2 hour to update the injector body. cost about $100. not a major project.

I guess i am talking about the days of the pre-auto bail out times..i just don't take well to the idea of investing all that time to throw in something that at one time was labelled 'throw away'..it's like putting in remanufactures bolts when rebuilding an engine that was in a continually heated situation.
