Default 98 blazer headlight problem...i think

First off hi Im marcus and new to the forum. im from norcal... now on to my prob...

so.. i have some projector headlights on the way and before i install them i wanna fix my headlight issue.
basically my headlights never turn off nor can i adjust whether or not my DRLs are on.

the only time they shut off is if i apply my E brake and then turn off n turn on the truck. i read that my car is equipped with a light sensor and they should come on automatically so is that sensor broken? if so is there a bypass method. i have halo projectors coming and i want to be able to enjoy them not have the projectors constantly on.

thanks in advance

It sounds as though your relay for your daytime running lights may be bad. You can try replacing the DRL relay located in the under hood fusebox and see if that solves your problem.

If the problem continues with a new relay and you don't mind not having the daytime running lights, you can simply remove the relay entirely and your lights will only operate with the dash switch.
