Default '98 Jimmy Air Mix Actuator Issues

This has been plaguing me for some time. My actuator refuses to calibrate properly. What it does is it goes towards the cold, reaches the furthest it can go, then goes towards hot, hits the furthest it can go, but never moves from there. In fact, the motor keeps receiving power. For whatever reason, either it or the climate control isn't getting the info that it has reached the maximum for the heat.

I can't afford a new actuator (I can't believe they want $100 for the P.O.S. I mean, it's only a DC motor, a smidge of PCB and plastic gears) or a new climate control unit. Far as I can tell, the climate control isn't throwing any codes.

I've tried messing with the blue timing gear, but the end result is always the same. Yes, I've marked it's original position.

Thoughts?

Nevermind, this thing is so screwy and temperamental. Decided to start working. AGAIN. If anyone has any thoughts still, feel free to share. I reversed the motor so that cold should have been hot, and hot should have been cold, (so that it would lock down on cold instead of hot) but somehow it still worked. One day I'll replace it...one day...
