Default 99 Blazer Will Not Start

I'm new to the forum and this may have already been discussed. I have a 1999 Blazer that was running a little rough. I replaced the distributor pickup module and now it will not run. It will turn over and act like it is back firing but will not start. I tried putting the old part back on and it still will not run. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

By "distributor pickup module" do you mean CMP sensor? Did you happen to damage the wiring?

Is the distributor cap on properly? Did you pull the distributor during the repair?

Default Distributor Pick up

I did not remove the distributor during the installation. I removed the distributor cap, then rotor, then the module. I am not sure what the piece is called but it bolts to the inside of the distributor and has three wires running to it. After it failed to start i checked the wires to make sure they were on correctly. The back firing was due to the mix up of plug two and four, I also changed the ignition module after posting the problem here.

Was there a reason why you replaced the CMP sensor? Any codes?

Also, I'll ask this again... Did you make sure that the distributor cap was on properly?

The cap is on properly and the wires are still in good shape. I had a few codes, never at once. Cylinder four misfire and then a multi cylinder misfire.

Default 1999 blazer wont start

Replaced the fuel pump, what I thought was the problem but still will not start. It turns but nothing, Checked fuses, battery and still nothing. Need ideas of what it could be. Starter almost new, distributer cap and rotor new.
