Johnny, when you idle with the AC on for long periods of time, does your truck sound like a jet engine when you start driving? The reason I ask is, if the fan clutch is not operating properly, it will not pull enough air across the condensor to fully condense and cool the freon in the system. If you idle with the AC on for long periods, the heat transferred from inside the cabin to the condensor will cuase a significant rise in temperature across the fan clutch, causing it to engage more completely. If it does not sound like a jet engine for a few seconds or minutes after extended idling, I would say your fan clutch is no good. When cold, you should be able to stop the fan with your finger (take my word on this, don't actually try it) you should notice a significant difference in idle fan speed from when the engine is cold to when the engine is hot, just by watching the blades of the fan. 1995 should have a metal fan that isn't as sensitive to temperature changes as the newer plastic fans are.
