Air Lift Ride Control Leveling Kit

Air Lift Ride Control Leveling Kit
Hi everyone,
Moving on to my next project.
I have a 1999 Blazer LT 4 door 4WD.
The rear suspension cannot keep up with 400 pounds of deer corn in the back or when I am trailering a boat. Going to be pulling a 20 foot travel trailer also.
Wanting to add an Air Lift Ride Control Leveling Kit part #59536. I have done some research and it looks like it can be installed easily enough.
My Question is for anyone who has installed this part #59536 on their blazer. I am asking how the install went and if you had any problems and if it actually works well.
Thank you in advance for any comments or advice.

That is a lot of money for what it does. If you are looking for some additional and adjustable load capability, I would recommend going with an air shock like the Gabriel Hijackers #49213. At only $75 for the pair of shocks vs. $230 for the bags (Amazon price anyway)... While the bags are rated for an additional 2000 lbs of load leveling and the shocks are only rated for 1100 lbs additional, I still don't think that weight difference is enough to warrant the price. That and the shocks do not require drilling into your frame to install.
I ran coil over shocks on the rear of my old '00 Bravada and that handled the 300+lbs of tools and fire gear that I carried in the back of it almost everywhere, but if you aren't carrying heavy loads all the time, the air shocks are nice as they can be aired down for a better ride when not heavily loaded and air them up when loaded. A simple 12V tire pump or even a bicycle pump is all that is required to air them up and they're a lot cheaper than those airbags.

i have the air bags in the back of my 2wd 1500 silverado and make the world of difference when towing, if i hit any kinda dip before the bags the suspension would slam down and bottom out, really helps with controlling it.
great thing about air lift is the bags are life time warranty. mine started cracking and leaking after about 5 years old and they replaced them free of charge without the reciept, though i did keep the original box
i remember the install being pretty simple, just have to figure out where to mount the air stems at, also i think i had to grind down a bolt on the frame which was really easy

thank you for your reply abig84,
I am sure they will be awesome, but each vehicle install is different.
I am really hoping to hear from someone who did the same install I would have to do.
As mentioned I am not happy about having to drill the frame and might go with air shocks now that I know what they are.
