Default another chevy door pin problem

I'm hoping someone else has had this scenario.
My wife's truck became my obsession .. she has had this truck for years before we even met. She didn't maintenance it properly and ignored problems that could have saved me these headaches.
Whats the most economical way of redoing a cracked door hinge.. the hinge is cracked where the pin and bushing sits.. it hasn't stretched out also the door latch and lock is bent and broken.
the truck is a 97 blazer 4x4 (red with trim)
am i better off replacing the entire door and getting it matched to the paint (painting it myself or a shop)
or.
am i better off getting a new hinge welded on . replacing lock and latch?

You should have posted this in the paint/body section.
That being said.
It all depends, You could get lucky and find a door that matches the paint color. I would search for a door in your color first. Then go from there.

But, red is a pretty common color, I would check around at pull it yards, craigslist ect for a door.

if its the hinge on the door side, speaking from experience, just replace the door. those hinges (if they are like the fullsized trucks) are spot welded on and a friggin hassle. they give you little dimples of where to drill the spot welds out but only half were where they were supposed to be and ended up having to guess where the others were, spent like 3 hours just drilling the hinges off.

salvage yard and replacing the whole door is probably the best option my wife is just gonna have to accept that i won't allow her to have an unsafe door just for the color of the paint.

weld the crack and the whole where the pin sits solid, then drill new hole for the pin with 1/2 inch bit , i did that on my truck and has worked like a charm ever since
