Hi

Everyone survive snow?

In the midst of it, Blazer died. I have searched STUCK KEY and gotten some good ideas but still have questions before I attempt fix this morning

Key in ign, steering wheel unlocked, tranny won't, ign switch goes thru all the positions but car has zero electrical power. Nothing works, NADA! and key will not release.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks

You may have a bent or broken rod between your lock cylinder and switches. They mount lower on top of the column and are actuated by thin rods.

Thanks

With all the snow yesterday, I just left it where it was. Went back today and found it was electrical...like I didn't have any. New battery later, everything OK

Battdery went quick. I had just shut it off and went to restart an hour later and nothing. Looking back, I did see unuasually high charge indication the day before and yesterday, but no other signs

Thanks

Unlike the old days, when a battery is ready to die in modern vehicles, you get very little warning notice/symptoms. They just die due to constant slight pull for all the electrical systems.
