Axle Shaft Seal
Hello everyone!
I'm looking for some help with a part number. I've got a 98 Chevy Blazer 4x4 with the 3.42 gears. The diff cover is oval shaped so I'm assuming its also the 7.625". I'm starting to have fluid seep out of the rear drivers side axle so I want to go in and replace both of the seals but I am having some trouble figuring out which seal I need. Rockauto lists a few things, but this PN USA30196 says it will fit 8.5", 7.5" and 7.6". Is this the part I'll need? Just want to make sure before I have it apart and find out I ordered the wrong thing (wouldn't be the first time lol)
Thanks!

If you are taking it apart be sure to check the axle and axle bearings- if they are bad they can cause the new seals to leak. The seal you referenced sounds right, but for that little stuff it's usually better to go to autozone so you can compare the old and new.
