Big problem with timing

Exclamation Big problem with timing

Hello everybody,
I have problem with my gmc jimmy 2000 when I replace the lower intake gasket the distributor become different and its not start. So, I try to aligned but the problem is that I don't see mark on the harmonic balancer nothing is there. I also, sand it and clean it but no mark on it anyone know what can I do now ?

Unhappy no crankshaft balancer

There is no crankshaft balancer just a gap between the crankshaft pulley and timing cover

Do you mean there is no harmonic balancer on your truck?

yes I am sure and I will take photo for it. All of it smooth and no mark

Whatever tomorrow brings (I bet You have the balancer, it's GM part of the engine) here what You can do:
- get an usb endoscope
- remove spark plug #1 and put the camera into the cylider
- bring the piston #1 to a top dead center
- set the distributor so the arrow will match the marker
- try cranking. If it does not start, means You're on the wrong TDC (cylinder goes twice to a TDC per cycle in 4-stroke engine). Turn the distributor 180 degrees.
