blown o2 sensor fuse ?
Hey guys , I had a check engine light come on , had the codes read and it was 02 sensors where bad so i replaced them . ( The 2 Upstream ) Then it came on again ! said bank 1 sensor 2 , so i replaced the one after the converter, after doing so it still ran the same ( rough idle ) not real bad, so i checked the fuse block under the hood and i found a blown fuse. My question is what role does this fuse play ?? will replacing the fuse make it run better ? ( didnt seem to ) maybe i replaced the o2 sensors for nothing ?? Thanks for any help.

RE: blown o2 sensor fuse ?
Check the fuse again, see if it's still good. It's possible there's a short in the wiring and it's blowing the fuse and making the sensor not work.

RE: blown o2 sensor fuse ?
I found that the wires near the exhaust manifold Passenger side were baked ! I rewired them, but was still wondering what does this fuse do ? does the o2 sensor still work with out it ? What role does this fuse play with the emission system ? Also it still runs the same.

RE: blown o2 sensor fuse ?
Sounds like your fuel pressure regulator is leaking.
Its in the intake manifold. Take the top off and look for it. If you see a clean area around it, its leaking. Teh gas is cleaning all the crap off. Replace it.
The O2 sensors help the pcm tune the engine for best performance. You can disconnect the O2 snesors and it will run. Your gas mileage will be horrible, however it will run. Now, if you disconnect all teh O2 sensors and the engine runs perfect, then you have a fualty O2 sensor. The fualt could be a burnt wire, or a blown fuse.
