Default Calipers/Brakes

Hi all I hope im posting in the right section here sorry if I did not. I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer LS 2WD, the brakes started going bad rubbing when stopping I was trying to hold off until I got paid to fix it. But now the brake fluid is leaking out of the caliper or where the brake pads are, Could this be from the pads being so worn down its causing leaking? Or the caliper that is shot, If there is any way to repair the caliper please let me know, or if I just might have to replace brake pads. I don't want to put new brake pads on and fluid leaks on them then they are ruined. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Caliper is shot...the piston seal is leaking.
I just replace them when they go.
Guys used to replace piston seals...but i don't think that is as common now a days.

Edit: rock auto does sell a repair kit you could try if you want...they only want about five bucks for it

you will likely need a hone to clean up the bores as well

make sure the bleeder screws will open first off or you are wasting your time and money

Letting it go this long, the rotor and pads will need replacement. If you have not rebuilt a caliper before, dual piston calipers are not the easiest to learn on I would suggest installing a rebuilt caliper that comes with the mounting bracket, all of the hardware, and the guide pins: Fenco Brake Caliper with Mounting Bracket SLC599: Shop the best Brake Caliper - Front at Advance Auto Parts

Brakes are not something you can "cut corners" on to save money, and still have them work properly.

Hey guys thank you all for the suggestions and help. I checked out the rotor wasn't that bad which I thought it would be tore up. I got it fixed bought a new caliper, Because when I took off the old caliper the Piston inside was Shattered in half so the repair kit would not have done a thing for it lol. It took me awhile to get it all on and tested, bled etc, But I got it thanks to you guys with the help you gave me Very much appreciated. Thanks!
