i only have 1 fob for my truck. if i lost this how would i be able to gain entry and start my blazer?
i have had cars in the past with an override switch under the hood which was key operated, i think this was primarily for flat batteries in the fob, whichever, its the same circumstance.

You mean if you lost the key and fob combo? Cause if you just lose the fob you could still get in with the key. I havnt played with the stock alarm, but most stock alarms that have a chipped key have a built in override; meaning that if you open the door, alarm goes off, when you crank the key if should disarm the alarm and start the engine..key word being should
