Default CEL light on Here is the code

Code P0446 and The same code P0446 with a p/d at the end of it "EVAP System - vent control malfunction
Its a 2004 Blazer S-10 4.3L V6 i retightened the gas cap and it hasnt come on since but if it comes on again what could be wrong?

When my SES comes on, I've learned to retighten the gas cap, drive it a day, and the light's gone. For more info on the P0446 code, this threadmay help.

Ok thanks gueys i was just worried because i have heard it can cause your engine idle to run weird and cause you to have no engine power but people are now telling me it shouldnt affect performance. I just want to find whats causing it.
