Check Engine light P0107
This light came on for me a few days ago. Went to auto zone and got it checked out and they gave me this code. They listed like 4 reasons the code could be on.
1. Vacuum hose off, cracked, or passage blocked.
2.Throttle body intake tube loose, off, or cracked.
3. barometer / MAP defective
4. Vane Air Flow MAF sensor dirty or defective.
I have a 2000 blazer LT 4door. Just wondering if anyone knows for sure what it could be or how i can find out without having a mechanic charge me a crap load.
Also i have an emissions test this month. Does the "Guaranteed To Pass" emissions stuff work? Let me know. Thanks

P0107 - Manifold Absolute Pressure [MAP] Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
I would start by testing the gray wire at the connector to the MAP sensor. This is the 5V reference wire from the PCM.

lol i forgot to mention i dont know really anything about engines except the basic stuff so trying to take anything apart would be suicide. but since you told me what the exact issue is i can at least go to my repair shop and tell them to check that out.
thanks for the info swart

If you are not all that good at working on things, then you may want to attempt to just replace the MAP sensor itself. I do not like to give advice like this, but I also do not like it when people get taken advantage of by mechanics.
The map sensor is on the passenger side of the intake manifold and at most will require a small screw driver to aid in removing the electrical connection. The sensor itself just pushes into the plastic upper intake. You can get the sensor from pretty much anywhere. I am partial to AC Delco parts, but if you do not have a local retailer, the dealer would be the next place to get it ($$$).
It is not that expensive of a part ($30 when I had to replace mine on my old 2000 Bravada).
