Crazy interior heat problem
Well anyway a couple days ago i went to turn my heat on the floor setting and it goes 100% to windshield defrost......zero air coming from the floor vents..on any setting. the front vents work fine along with full defrost.......but if i choose floor or floor/defrost mix it goes to full windshield defrost.
was -45 yesterday and my feet froze!!!
obviously my 1st thought is a hose got disconnected, but thoughtid ask before i started ripping apart the dash.....i wouldnt even know where to look....any help?

Sounds like a heater blend door or actuator could be a possible cause from some related searches:
98 Blazer No Floor Heat
no heat on floor
Get warm quick!

FWIW.....
If in fact the blend door is broken and the actuator is indeed working, I have a temporary fix. I did this to mine until this spring when the weather is better.
First, check and make sure that the actuator is indeed working and that the blend door is broken. Using a wire-type coat hanger, you can stick it up through the floor discharge vent on the passenger side and open the floor vent blend door. I did mine this way and opened the door just enough to get approximately 75% of the air to the floor, and the other 25% to the defroster.
This method only affects the defrost vents and the floor vents. When you place the **** in dash-vent mode, the air will still work properly there.
Not the best of methods, but it works for me.
After adjusting the wire coat hanger where you want it, just bend the remaining wire sticking out, out of the way to where the passengers feet cant hit it.
At least this way you can have floor heat, and enough defrost heat to de-ice or de-fog the windshield.

i noticed last night i get a VERY small amount of heat through the passenger floor vent.........so after i open it with the hanger....if i remove it, itll just close back again?
Did you eyeball the vacuum line that sits between the ABS and the Cruise control yet?
the 6" hose that runs into a 'vacuum regulator' in the fender is usually the culprit. You can't see the nipple for this hose, you just gotta feel it and wiggle the hose back on.
