CTSY LP Fuse Keeps Blowing Out. Please Help!!!
Hey everyone. I am having problems with my CTSY LP fuse (10A) blowing out. When this happens, my reading lights, dome lights, 4x4 buttons, and keyless entry goes out. Now, I have tried to figure out what exactly the problem is, and so far this is what I have found:
At times, my keyless entry stops responding when I try to remotely unlock my doors, and the only way to get it to work again is to take out the fuse and pop it back in again. I check the fuse, but it is not blown. If I let the fuse sit in there, and NOT use my keyless entry, it blows out, and it leaves me clueless as to why it does this.
Now, do you think that because the keyless entry stops responding, it could blow the fuse out if I use the power locks to lock and unlock my car doors?
Oh, and I have a 2001 GMC Jimmy, 4.3L.

I would start by disconnecting your RKE module (above the driver's side hush panel directly behind the DLC - data link connector). Drive around with it like that for awhile. If the fuse still blows, then you're probably going to have to dig into the wiring and make sure that there isn't a wire grounding out, causing the fuse to blow.
Let us know how it goes with it disconnected.
