Default Which direction does brake pad screech tabs go?

Decided to change my rear pads after replacing metal brake line to rear.

Found the old pads had wear sensor facing opposite directions on same axle.

Should the screech tabs go forward (leading edge) or rear (trailing edge) on the pad. All four pads look the same BTW.

Help! It's getting dark!

Picture the wheel rolling front the squealer should be trailing ( after the pad)

In this crude sketch , you are saying the black arrow is pointing to where the wear tabs should be positioned right?
