Do I have heated mirrors?
So I have a 1998 Blazer LS, and one side view mirror is broken off and the other is just broken so I need replacements, but how do I know if I have the regular power mirrors or the heated ones? Are they interchangeable?

Just guessing, but maybe there's an rpo code for heated mirrors? Or take one apart and see if there's a heating element in there

Most of the mirrors I've seen have an insignia on the glass that depicts heat.

Look for RPO Code DK2 in your glove box.
Or do as eshaw suggested and look for the heated mirror symbol in the corner of the mirror you still have. My 98 came with heated mirrors..working on switching out the guts and glass into some chrome mirror housings. :icon_tinykitball: |

My 04's original mirrors were heated and have no emblem, so that's not always 100% accurate. And I say "originals were" because I've since installed some Street Scene mirrors...
Best bet is to look at the back side of the mirror glass and look for the two wires connecting to it. If it has them, it's heated. If no wires are present, it is not. Unless of course it does have the emblem, then you can rest assured that it is indeed heated lol |
Typically if it's a power mirror it's heated.Sometimes a manual mirror will be and a power mirror won't be but usually if it's powered it's heated.
