Default To do List to replace a Ignition Starter Switch

Hallo to everybody.

I had for some month a problem with my Blazer 1997 4.3 an i was figured out that the starter Ignition Switch is totally defect.
So now i have to replace this part. Is there any do to list ore some pictures here in the Forum that i can see what kind of cover from the Dashboard i have to remove that i will can replace it without damaging something.
It will help me to see witch steps i have to do first to get a perfect result of my work.
Because at the moment i will go to my car and start with no idea what will happens when i remove all the screws.

It will be so great when i can find a video or a picture list with the steps to do. I find some on you-tube but not for my car. Thanks to all for your help

Hallo guys.
I was starting to replace the ignition switch today and I Had to stop my work because inside of the garage i had no light because the battery of my LED flashlight was not fully loaded. Its not a single garage and so i go up tomorrow and finish my work.

But i have one question. When i was replace the top Cover of the steering wheel and i was replace the switch near the Key Lock on right side of the ignition switch by himself there is a kind of white plastic tube with an little silver Cylinder inside. It was tightened up with some black plastic cable ties
And on of this cable ties was tightened so that the little cylinder wast pushed inside of the tube. I was found out that when this little cylinder will slide down i don't can remove the key. can you please give me any instruction why this was only fixed so simple there and what kind of function this part has in my car. I will install this with the cable ties as i seen them before i was removed the black box of the ignition switch.

Thanks to explain me this function

Zipp tie engineering....American as apple pie. That's why we got to the moon. With out them and duct tape we would crumble to our knees!

@spittbays

Yeah you say it right.

I was reinstall everything and baby was starting without any problems but now!!! A big leakage under my baby direct in the middle of the motor. I think this will be the waterpump. Because my car is only a summer driver and was standing now for 6 month. And i think this is still the first pump and after 70000 mls it can go defect.
The best it will be to replace it or ?
