Default Drive shaft removal

I'm replacing the neutral safety switch on 1997 4x4, I've got the switch all loosened up but need to remove the drive shaft to make room to get the switch assembly out. I've removed the 4 bolts and clamps that keep the drive shaft on but it won't budge - any tips?

In this video (25s in) it just seems to fall down!

once those bolts and clamps are out of there, get in there with a pry bar or large screw driver and just pry between the two. years of rust make them get stuck. also if the sliding part of the driveshaft is rusty too that also adds in the fight. but yeah in a perfect world you would just unbolt it and pull it out like in the video

My world is not perfect...unfortunately! I didn't want to get to aggressive with without checking first, so really appreciate your advice.

It came out in the end with a bit more force. I discovered that you do not need to fully remove the drive shaft to replace the neutral safety switch, once you remove the drive shaft clamps you can move the drive shaft to one side, there is then plenty of room. Also you have to be careful with the UV joint, one of the metal caps on the bearing came off and a few of the needle bearings fell, I managed to find them and re-insert them.

Unfortunately it didn't fix the no crank no start issue, I'm now at a loss as what to do next. :-(
