I already replaced the cat and i replaced the fuel fuller today so if it keeps burning gas ill start trouble shooting the plugs wires and distributor.

My 96 was getting like 8 gallons a mile I changed everything was still having that problem so I hooked up my code scanner and it said it was an o2 sensor, didn't see the ses light because the bulb burned out, just another thing it could be.

With all these problems and no DTC? Maybe the SES light is burned out.

Was the leak down test successful?

Keep us posted.

I will be hated, not the first time. If you can't afford Delco buy what you can. Your fuel savings will make up for it in no time.

E-bay has cap's and rotors, Chow-Mien style for like $12. I just order two sets and after 50G's just get two more.

Sorry guys I'm a big ducked tape man. 200G's and only one fuel pump has failed to start.

I did use a Delco on the pump.

I use 1aauto.com for all my parts and have never had a problem with them. I did do the full tune up and replaced both o2 sensors and she runs like shes brand new.

State inspection just said I need new fuel tank, because lock ring is rusted and leaking. Don't want to take tank off until I know if that's really it. Problem is the tank is plastic, and I wonder if the lock ring is a seperate replacement part. It could even be the fuel line, how can they see top of tank anyway? Do you know if lock ring, weal, etc are separate from the tank, and the tank may not be the problem?
Thank, Mike
