Electronics Possesed By Devil

I just got my 2000 Chevy Blazer LT on thursday and the truck runs great and things work like they are supposed to except for my dome light doesnt go on when i open the door (yes i checked the button), the stereo doesnt stay on until i open the door ( i didnt know it even did it till it did it on saturday night), and now my alarm just went off twice. Anyone have any suggestions? My drivers door does shut funny it seems like it hangs a little to far down but it doesnt interfere with shutting or opening.

The stereo staying on until the door opens is normal. That tripped me out too when I first got my blazer. I don't suppose you have keyless entry?

He meant that it doesn't wait until the door opens to cut off the radio.

My dad's truck doesn't like to turn on the lights when you open the door, and it gives random DTCs and lights up warning lights whenever it feels like it, so it sometimes happens. The problem with my dads truck is the computer, but as long as it doesn't affect the headlights, its ok with him. As far as the radio goes, it sounds like the timer that turns the radio off after five minutes is bad and opens the circuit when the ignition is cut off.
A sagging door is a very common problem with all the S-series trucks, but you have to head it off early before it can damage the hinge. If its sagging badly it probably too late to fix it with a pin and bushing.

As for the alarm... I have no clue. My blazer did not have that as an option. I have an aftermarket Ungo system.

My Blazer was turning the dome on and killing the radio as soon as I killed the ignition. I figured out that one of the door switches wasn't making good contact. Sounds like yours might be a bit more sinister, since the doom isn't coming on with the button.

It's funny, I had a 96 S-10 and had very few problems with it, but it sounds like the Blazers seem to have alot more problems.
