Freeze plug help

Not that it matters at this point, but in the future, you can knock the old plug into the block and forget about it. The plug won't hurt a thing in there. Socket on an extension is the "proper" tool for the job

Thanks for the info Capt. Hook. What is your recommendation for installation? I am curious on how a mechanic would do this job since there is no room for tools to be manuever.

the block heaters usually have a combination hex/ screw head bolt to tighten up
sometimes the approach is directly from under rather than from the side
they seal with a o ring
there is a lip to prevent in from going in to far a T bar that bridges the inside of the hole to stop it from coming out
