Default Front Drivers Side Door Hinge

Ok, so I've seen a few threads on here where the hinge pins on the doors need to be replaced along with the bushings, I know my drivers side needs it and I haven't gotten to it yet. However tonight I opened the door heard a loud snap and looked at the hinge to find that the inner pin(closest to the body) had broken and let the spring loose that rides on the lower piece. I removed the lower part that broke off and the spring and the door still seems to function pretty normally. I know I can get the main hinge pine replacement but does anyone know where to get the replacement pin that is closest the body of the truck?

Ok, I did some digging and the closest part I can find is this:

1999-2000 GMC Yukon Door Hinge Roller Pin for Front Upper at 1AAuto.com

Does anyone know if this would be the correct replacement?

I don't think that is going to work for you, YRMV.

I think you need to replace your entire upper hinge at this point. Check rockauto.com.

The pin seems to have just snapped in half and seems to be threaded in at the top, I can't imagine I would have to replace the entire hinge, worst case I'll get one from the junkyard but I was hoping to find the part new. Anybody?

I got mine at a dealer. You have to grind the top part and then punch it out.
The new one will have to be tack welded into place at the top. Be sure to paint the new one before installing. Comes as 2 pieces.

BTW the hinges on these vehicles are glued not welded to the body

yeah my fullsize has the same issue. it just sucks cause the door doesnt stay open when letting it go but yeah, ive actually changed the welded on hinges on a 95 fullsize and it sucks. i dont know if s10s are the same way but the fullsize had 4 spot welds in the middle of the hinges that had to be drilled out. and the dimples werent in the right place. took hours or drilling to get them off.

if it was me and its that big of a deal, replace the entire door lol. i will never do one of those hinges again

I'll have to get a better picture of mine and actually try to spin the top half out but on mine it looks like it's just threaded in on the top not welded.
