Default Fuel Gauge issue

Ok, so i just bought a 1997 chevy blazer 4 wheel drive.

Once i put fuel in, the gauge will read right, but then drops fast down to empty, even tho there's still fuel in it.

anyone have any ideas..

the fuel level sending unit on the side of the fuel pump is more than likely bad. mine had the same problem... new fuel pump and it was fixed. Btw if u go to buy a fuel pump DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BUY AIRTEX!!!!
