Unhappy Gas lines rusted apart now gas leaking from valve solenoid

I purchased a 2002 Blazer that had been sitting for a few months. The gas lines (as well as the brake line) all rusted apart on top of the frame. On a budget, I replaced the rusted sections of the lines. The Blazer ran well for about 20 miles and then gas started pouring out of the valve solenoid (above the spare tire). Now the Blazer has a very bad miss when I give it gas and the RPMs are minimal. Could I have rust/dirt in the lines or the lines crossed or something else? Any help greatly appreciated.

Very possible the lines got crossed. If the return line from the fuel pressure regulator was connected to the vapor line, as soon as the pump was activated, the entire EVAP system would rapidly be filled with raw fuel. When the purge canister became filled with fuel, it would spew out of the vent solenoid. If/when the purge solenoid opens, raw fuel would be sucked from the tank directly into the engine causing it to run extremely rich, rough, no power ect. The 3/8" line is pressurized fuel. The 5/16" line is return from the regulator to the tank. The 1/4" line is fuel vapor. If you used steel line for the repair, it would be difficult to cross the lines. It would be much easier if you used rubber line.

Thanks for the feedback. Boy did I ever have lines crossed. Had brake line running to the return line and return line running to vacuum line... Only thing I had right was the main line. That is what i get for not taking my time. Thanks again.

Brake line MUST be spliced using double flare fittings only. NOT compression or rubber, they are not safe in any State, and illegal in most States.

Fuel pressure line should be steel with compression fittings. "Fuel injection rated" rubber may be used in a pinch, but not recommended as a permanent repair.

Fuel vapor line should be "Fuel injection rated" rubber.
