Default Heater/AC stuck on hot/cold or intermittent blasts of cool air?

I found this posting extremely helpful to replace the blend door actuator. Apparently "the book" calls for the dash to be removed to replace this $145 part from NAPA. This post shows you how to avoid removing the dash while still completing the repair. It should be noted that I have the Electronic Climate Control (ECC) which controls the blend door actuator. It is a very similar, yet different part if you have the manually controlled heat/AC.
