this is my first post so please bear with me...I recently changed plugs on my 2003 blazer,and i had to pull the steering shaft(thanks GM!)Now my steering wheel isn't centered while going straight down the road.Any suggestions?If this is in the technical forums please steer me in the right direction.Thanks all!

There are a couple ways that I know of to do this.

One is to have your tie rods adjusted to center your wheel while the vehicle is going straight.

The other is to remove the shaft again with the tires pointed straight forward, then rotate it so your steering wheel is pointed straight again, then bolt it back together.

One costs money, the other is a bit of a pain. Good luck with either option!

Oh, I suppose there's a third option too actually which is to remove the steering wheel and recenter it that way.

Since the issue seems to have been caused by the steering shaft being removed, I'd probably go that route.

 

The steering shaft has a flat spot so it can only go onto the rag joint one way.Looks like no adjustability is possible there...but im no rock scientist

 

I never looked, was just guessing haha. In that case, I can't think of any reason at all that your steering should be off then.
