Default hi everyone! first post, and i want to share todays screwup!

hi everyone! im new to the chevy forum. im a ford lover to be honest, i love my 92 f150....but as usual my ford tranny went, so anyhow i have aquired my grandmas 97 blazer 4wd! good truck, been sitting almost 2 yrs, new battery and VROOM! fired right up, however brake pedal is impossible to push, so i thought it was master cylinder....nope its the booster, so im going to fix it tuesday!! well its got its share of issues, but i love chevys too, i had a 96 bravada my favorite truck i ever owned, till i rolled it 3 times and i come out w/o a scratch!! so im sure everyone around here will get to know me, ill have plenty of questions working out the bugs from my new baby sitting for a while. i know gas gauge is wonky....lets start with that, it jumps up and down when i hit the gas, anyone have any ideas??? ill be posting pics soon!!!!!! thanks everyone

First, welcome.

Second the gas gauge bouncing up and down could mean the baffles in the tank are bad, or a loose/bad connection to the fuel pump. Perhaps if it sat for that long some critter made their bed in that area? I'd check the wiring around there too.
