Oil leaks 1 quart and stops??
I'm new to the forum and haven't been able to find my problem on here. My mom has a 97 blazer that's previously had issues with the oil pressure gauge moving from normal pressure to zero while she's driving. It's done this for the entire 1.5 years she's had it.That's not the issue, but i figured it could be related. Now yesterday she went to work and it leaked 3 quarts of oil throughout the day (she drives while working).
She said she got home and filled it up again (not sure why since it's leaking) and put all of her stuff in her other truck. When she got home today, she said it leaked almost exactly 1 quart of oil, and that's all it leaked per time throughout the day before. I'm not sure where it's coming from (I'm at school right now) but she said it covered the back of the blazer when she got home.
So it seems that it leaks a certain amount of oil and then stops. I'm wondering what could cause this.
Thanks!

You need to find the reason its leaking. Take it to the carwash and pressure wash under the engine till its clean, then drive it a few miles and get a spotlight and find the leak. let us know where its at.

Well, she's tried to find it with no success. The blazer is about 15-20 miles from a carwash and she's afraid to drive it that far (for a good reason).
I was just hoping to see if there was anything that could cause it to leak only a certain amount so that she'd have a better idea of where to look for the leak.

check the oil pan gasket and the lines going to the oil filter. and there are inspection holes in the transmission housing. pry them out and see if there is alot of oil comming out of there or inside. if there is then its the rear seal on the engine and its not something everybody can do in there drivway. the inspection covers are silver shiny metal that are on the housing on the transmission. its where the tranny meets the engine.
