Idk about you, but I like hot air coming out of my vents!

Your details are nonexistent my friend. Is hot air coming out when you want cold air?

Please post more specifics...

To answer your question, No the temperature valve(door) actuator is not related to any of these directly, but then again, If a "mechanic" is going to sell you all three of those parts to fix your 1 problem, then he is probably capable of just about anything! I'm sorry you got robbed to fix your 4WD, but there is no way that all three of those parts were bad! As for the temp valve open your glove box and reach up in the top left corner to release the stop for the door. When you push on the release you can then lower the glove box door all the way down and access the hvac case behind it. Look up on top of the case and there is a little electric motor with a 3 or 5 wire connector on it...with your ignitionon, watch the top of the motor and see if the shaft rotates when you turn the temp knobv on your hvac control head. If it doesn't then you probably have a bad actuator...let me know if it does.

If you go into your profile and add your vehicle info in your signature, it would help us out with a quick reference to what we are looking at.

O.K. I'll take my camera to work tomorrow and if there's one there I'll take a pic for ya. I'd use mine, but it's a 1997 and they are totally different.
