How to get torx seat belt bolts out
Ok first I tried a cheapy t-50 with a breaker bar and snapped the thing in half almost instantly. Then I went out and got a lisle t-50 and let the impact wrench to its work after like a minute it spins it teeth right off. What brand should I go for no to get these off, also and tricks, or should I just get a garage to take them out.

You should probably get the right size socket first, It's a T-47 (they have a more rounded point that fits snuggly in the bolt). If they are that tight/siezed you need to bite the bullet and get a good one from snap-off or matco. Also, take a good drift pin, and a 2 or more lb. hammer and smack the hell out of the center of the bolt one time before you try it again. If it still seems like it's gonna round off or break a GOOD socket, then heat it up.

The t-50s fit perfect they werent too tight they failed both times the bolt still looks great. A t-47 seems like it would be too small unless it should have side to side play. I have a t-45 that is way too small for the bolts. When I was looking at power t-50 sockets on snap ons site it listed a GM t-50 and a t-50 anyidea what that difference is?

The size is a T-47, I use one almost on a daily basis.
I know that numerically it is a smaller number than the T-50, which SHOULD mean that it is a smaller bit. However the T-47 is a specialty bit size specifically made to fit SNUGGLY inside of seatbelt bolts.
The Matco tool number is B47TXPA $22.55 on their site

You can get a cheapo set at harbor freight tools for like 10 bucks, has all the large torx you'll ever need.

Thanks for the info on the T-47 I will look around for it. Yah the first one that snapped instantly by hand was a harbor freight.

Not to necro this thread, but were you ever able to get this bolt out? I'm having a similar problem myself and can't make any headway.
Here's the thread if anyone here has any idea >> https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-generation-s-series-1995-2005-tech-41/98-blazer-seatbelt-torx-bolt-45181/

Used a T-50 HF bit and a 1/2" air wrench and it barely resisted on the seat belt pillar bolt in my 95' four-door. Will be nice to have a driver's seat harness that's not just for looks.
