How to replace TCC solenoid
#21
Ok I traced it with the flow chart. It said replace the computer. I got one from a salvage yard that said any 98-99 4.3 computer would work so when I got it home and it wouldn't start I was really upset. My frustration was coming to a head pretty quick. I decided I would google it before I burned it lol. I looked at several forums and a bunch of threads they all said the same thing. The dealership will have to flash it unless you get one that the numbers match. Then I came across the only forum that had the solution I could do myself guess I should have checked here first.

Thank you swartlkk for sharing the DIY solution. It fired right up and now it has a smooth idle, the TCC circuit doesn't stay stuck open, my tach started working again. Dream come true. I really want to thank you all for your help. I couldn't have done it without you, and would have seriously hauled it off for scrap and it's way to nice for that. you guys are amazing thanks a million!!!
