Exclamation I searched but did not find an answer....

Ok, I have installed 2 sets of front hubs.

the first set I bought off of ebay, yeah I know...............................

Second set: Napa.

No ABS light for some time.....

Then when it got HOT here in Fl the light came on...

NOW whenever it gets cool at night the light goes off, THEN when the blazer gets warm it kicks off the light again.

Can it be the VSS sensor?

also I tried locking up my brakes and the abs WORKS with the light on so does the cruise control.

Weird huh?

Thanks

Jim

You could get the ABS codes read and see what your vehicle is trying to tell you. It could be something unrelated... The problem with that is that most of the places that do it for free do not have a scanner capable of reading the ABS codes.

yeah I know autozone has a scanners but they do not read abs.

But with the mileage on the blazer do you think it is worth it just do drop a new VSS in it anyways and see?

when I was at the dealer 2 weeks ago with the leaking front differential they scanned for codes (I didn't have to pay for it) and they told me that the passenger side hub ABS sensor was intermittent, I acted as if I knew it and told them I have to replace it.

Now this is the 2d set doing this on the same side.

I installed all new front end parts on it last year with a Alignment and 2 new front shocks.

What gives?

Thx.

my 96 has kind of the same problem. except my brakes went completely out.but when i completely disconnect the abs modulator. i have perfect brakes. but when i plug it back in my brakes go out again. i have been driving around with the abs light on for about a year and a half now and no problems. you might wanna look into the abs modulator. they are a lil pricey but ya know.

Thanks but the dealer who scanned the system said that the passenger side is intermittent, no other codes referring to anything else.

I replaced my hubs and its doing that to me too. I actually rather the abs not work but my question is will it pass inspection with the abs not working?
