My old Jimmy had an intermittent B0036 and it turned out to be the plug on the Airbag module, it had worked it way out a hair, just enough to be real annoying because I hate dash lights.

For that clock spring if you cant find a new one you might have to watch the wreckers. What is different with radio controls on the wheel ?...I see a few used ones on ebay ...they don't don't have the radio wheel control option specified for fit....

In New York, the airbag light being on won't fail inspection. It's only an advisory. They "advise you that it's on", but that's it.

I know that the steering wheel is identical on a lot of the full size GM's from the early 2000's, my steering wheel with radio controls I put in my 04 came from a Yukon Denali :P The columns do not interchange, but you may be able to use the clock spring from one with radio controls out of a full size if you find one in a junk yard. You'd be surprised how many parts GM standardized, or maybe just slightly modified to put on a different lineup so they could change the part number and charge a $20 difference...

I see this is gonna be quite a research project. It doesn't look like there is any clock springs available for any of the s series trucks.

What did you search because I didn't see any that have the same connections as mine. I also have the radio controls.

I searched blazer clock spring , the first 2 listing cover your year and the second one has a compatibility chart , no mention of radio controls changing anything...I don't know what your plugs look like but it says it fits.
