Has anyone replaced the forward eye bushings of their leafs? If so where did you get your bushing? It is a different size from the shackle side.... I found part number 15963452 but the dealer is closed until morning.... will call to see if it is available....

Hmm-Are there actully bushings here? I think not-in my experience-all"bushings" are the rear shackle & hanger assemblies-but I am usually wrong! Let us know what you come up with with!

This bushing fits all 4 positions of the rear leaf springs:

Most auto parts stores either stock, or can get them.

I bought the Moog SB335 thinking that they would fit. Big negative there. Now I have four Moog SB335 on my shelf I can't use.

I am replacing all of my bushings on my 95 blazer. Rear bushing number is 15529515 but GM lists it as unavailable but NAPA stocks it under P/N 274-6977.
NAPA can cross reference GM part numbers if they are available.

some trucks the bushings are the same others have 2 different ones. I brought my leafs (leaves?) to a spring shop and had them do the dirty work, burn out old, press in new. new bolts ect. well worth $100 I spend IMO especially because i had them out to do RC lift and add a leaf

I had the same issue when I was switching all of the leaf bushings on my 02 S10. It sucks finding out you have the wrong part in the middle of a project.

Default Part Numbers

Just want to do a follow up.

I finished replacing the rear bushing in my Blazer. Not difficult but a little on the hard side but was worth every drop of sweat. Ride is completely different and handles much better. With the Front suspension done several months ago, I essentially have a new suspension and it is friggin nice.

Part numbers are important. GM is discontinuing the leaf spring bushing so finding replacements may be a bugger.

Rear leaf spring bushings are as follows.
Front Eye--OEM P/N 15963542---ATS Springs Product Number RB231
Chevy/GMC Replacement Parts, RB Leaf Spring Bushings

Rear Eye--OEM P/N 15529515 (no longer available) Crossover to Napa P/N 274-6977

Shackle Bushing OEM P/N 14027938

I checked NAPA and O'Reileys and they couldn't cross reference the front eye bushing so I had to order from the Dealer for about 28 bucks for a pair of them. I am posting this so people getting bushings will have a good starting point in finding parts

Default I know thread is old

2003 blaZeR2
i know this is an old thread. But my question pertains to this discussion. Doing shackle replacement and need to replace the rear bushing of the leaf spring. Everyone is listing the sb335 moog bushing. This is entirely too small. Further reading I gues I shouldn’t have removed the cup from the old bushing bust left it in there and maybe the sb335 would work. Can anyone give me an accurate part number for the right bushing. Keep in kind the oem bushing and cup has been removed. Really need some help.

I just replaced mine last month. My non zr2 2000 4 wheel drive 2 door used Moog #K200897 on the rear of the leaf springs. Harbor freight ball joint press kit was worth the $80.
