Default LIM Gaskets or Head Gaskets

Great bunch of information here, I searched for a good hour before I thought I could maybe get a touch of input.

I have an 02 blazer (4.3), 3 days ago I was checking my oil when I was getting gas, I noticed it was slightly higher and was a little diluted. I instantly knew a internal issue, drove it home, 4 miles and it has sat there since. (I have a brutal work schedule till Wed) so trying to get my info first before I start on the project.

SES light never came on.
Runs perfect still, nothing that I noticed.
Coolant was low (obviously its in the engine).
No external leaks noticeable (at least that I could see).

My feeling is it is probably the LIM gasket, which I will do both upper and lower. But how can I be sure that it is not the head gasket, I read they have very similar symptoms.? If a head gasket goes does it bring up another set of issues, like mis-fire or anything?

Thanks for any help, I will have a few days till my next day off to soak in some info!

Yes, diluted, slightly off colored like coffee. Not milky yet, as I check all my fluids every gas up, so I think I caught is pretty early.

Thanks for your input, however my understanding (which could be off)... is...

Head gaskets usually push compression gasses/oil into the cooling system (which in my case looks fine). Not coolant into the oil, but I am not a master wrench, any other input would be very helpful...

to check the head gaskets go to a store like autozone..or any place with rent a tool.
get the compression tester kit, its easy to do just a pita.
that will tell you if you have head issues.
