Loud Sound Underneath

Loud Sound Underneath
I have a Standard 99 LS Blazer 4.3 Vortec with 75000 miles. I have a sound that I thought was my through out bearing, so I had my clutch replaced. Didn't stop the sound, it sounds like its in my tranny but im not sure. When i press the clutch in the sound gets more quiet, but not silent. It sounds like a type of loud rattleing. I was reading on one forum that the catalltic converters were recalled on a few trucks for breaking down and makeing a ratteling sound. Do I have this problem or need a tranny rebuild, or scrap it and get a new one? Thx

Was the throwout bearing replaced with the clutch???
If not, it's probably the culprit since you can only hear a bad
throwout bearing with the clutch out.[:-]
