Lower fuel neck hose

Brand new to this forum.
My friend was trying to help me replace the fuel pump. Because the clamps that connect the hoses to the tank were turned the wrong way and he couldn't access them, he had to cut the hoses. I'm starting to realize that this might have been a big mistake. We can't find where to purchase the bigger hose, It is 6 1/2" in length and 2" in diameter. Is there anywhere I can find the hose or do I need purchase the whole neck assembly? I hope that I am describing the problem correctly.
Thanks.

I wouldn't use nylon couplers for the hose repair. You should be able to get 2" fuel hose at the auto parts store. I recommend using the fuel hose reinforced with steel wire to prevent people from cutting the hose to siphon fuel from your tank.

I had to cut the filler hose once on a Chrysler mini van. The auto parts store didn't have it, so I bought a generic radiator hose roughly the same size and shape. It lasted long enough to get one ordered from chrylerpartsdirect, or some such website. gmpartsdirect. com sometimes has stuff like that that autozone, rock auto, etc. don't have

I also cut my tank hoses off and had problems finding the bigger one your talking about. AZ didn't have it. After checking a few auto parts store, I found them both at Car Quest. They were more expensive then I thought for the short hoses I needed.....98 Blazer LT 4.3 4x4x4

Proper fuel hose is ridiculously expensive. I paid $25/foot at O'Reilly's when I did mine in May. I needed 18" and had to buy it by the foot. I spent $50 + tax for the hose but now I can put gas in the Jimmy.
