Yea I don't know this is probably a really stupid question to ask but here it goes anyway. What would make a sound like water gushing or water moving around when ever my rpm goes above 3k? I hear that noise while I am inside driving down there road taking of from a stop or if I just rev it up some. Sounds like the noise is coming from behind my dash somewhere. Anything to be concerned about? Is is something to do with the heater core?

its in the heatercore. Usually just low in coolant. Top off your coolant in the reservoir and radiator when she cools down. See if that fixes it. if not, backflush your heatercore. Your core isnt bad per say, just clogged with some gum from the years of service. you can sometimes get lucky and backflush em and clean them out. Or you might get lucky and it be low in coolant.

You guys are spot on, I can't believe I forgot to even check the coolant level. I looked tonight and the radiator is low and the reservoir is empty. I will buy some anti-freeze and fill it up. It had been making this noise for a while. I hope there is nothing wrong with it why the radiator is low and the reservoir is empty. Will keep you guys in the loop.

Mine made that noise because the core was leaking and there was air in the system. I had previously flushed the core because it was clogged and no circulation/ no heat. If the carpet on the right side under the heater is wet, it is probably a leak.

The carpet doe's not allway's get wet when the heater core is leaking! Mine never did. I could smell it, the window would fog up, but no wet carpet, and my coolant was never low, but I did hear the water sound behind the dash.
