Default Wierd going problem

My blazer is starting to have a problem going. When either my wife or I come to a stop at a light and when the light turns green we go from brake peddle to gas peddle push it to go and the truck sits there for a second doesn't go any where and then you feel it un-stick and the thing goes like normal and shifts like normal. Now it doesn't do this all the time and days it does it at every stop.

I have gotten into this thing that i stop 10 feet behind someone and i let off the brake and let it coast forward a little then come to a stop. So that when it's time to go it leaves without any problems.

What the heck is the trucks problem with it not GOING?

RPM rises slightly just as much as if the problem wasn't there, the tranny fluid level is good and still pink looking, little on the dark side, and I am east of Albany in Stephentown.

We were thinking it has something to do with the brakes sticking in the front end like the caliper isn't releasing the pads and when the caliper finally releases it is the jerking feeling forward that we feel.

If it is the brakes, it should be relatively easy to check. Jack up the truck and support it on jack stands. Spin one of the wheel by hand and have an assistant press on the brakes. Once they let up on the brakes, try to spin the wheel again. See if it sticks. Move around to all of the wheels like this.

If you support the truck on heavy duty jack stands positioned safely, you can even try to run the engine and put the truck in drive with the transfer case in 4HI. Allow the tires to rotate slowly, then push on the brakes. Release them and press on the accelerator. See if any wheels stick.

We been having problems with the front axle leaking gear oil around the gasket for the pin lock thingy that the posi lock goes to, would the front axle be causing the sticking even tho it is in rear wheel drive only?

Well next day the wife is off I'll try out what you said with lifting the truck and turning the wheels and see which ones stick, hopefully it is something simple and cheap versus something expensive... o bother...
