Under the hood, passenger side, mounted on top of the coolant reservoir.

Ok im used to it being called pcm..

Now I have 2 VSS on the transfer case not the transmission.. does it matter which one I meter

The one on the trans should be the input speed sensor, the one on the transfer case is the output speed sensor (aka VSS). Probably would t hurt to check both since you're checking.

Edit: Sorry, I misread that. One of them is a different sensor, I can't remember off the top of my head for what. I can't remember for that transfer case which one is which. I know on the 4L80E it's the one to drivers side.

Both of them are on the transfer case.. amd they are both the exact same. Where is the one on the transmission? I guess the input sensor
