Default need replacement key

I've done the search but am a doubting thomas. Before I go to the dealer to get one cut with the vin can I please get confirmation that no blazer had a transponder key. I just need to know how my wallet will react to this situation.Thanks Stuart.
it's a 2002 blazer..

thank you GreenBlazer. I've also read it has to be less than 10 years old. Is that true.

You can legit just go to Home Depot and get one cut for $3 dollars. That's what I did for my 2000.

@ Cimmerian I'm thinking he doesn't have a key at all that's why he said replacement not spare. But yeah! Get multiple spares when you get the new key @ trautsretnuh. try Ebay for a used ignition switch and Key if getting one cut from VIN is too much $$$

to get a 'duplicate key' made for my 2003 blzr /without a transistor on key/ is only $1.97 each at home depot. At that price get two. Tip: always take the key off the key ring even though some say they don't have to. the new key works better if made off the ring.

Please elaborate. I've cut more keys than I can count and I can't see how it could possibly make a difference.

Yes have lost the key. Thank you for your responses.Also have to replace fuel pump but will put that in another thread. Thanks all.
