I have a 2000 blazer the lifter needed to be replaced i disconnected battery after hooked the battery back up an the security light was flashing wit battery light. when I jumped in it to turn the key i got nothing not even a click. the lights we t out. now i have no power to dash. I charged the battery no help

 

I had a similar problem when I did the manifold gasket on one of mine. Did you check the back of the alternator? IIRC, there should be 2 red wires with eyelets that bolt to the output bolt of the alternator. If the nut is only hand tight, you will get power until you try anything, then it will disconnect. Hope this helps
