I have some ranting to do, today I changed the oil, and the stupid auto mechanics that changed the oil before I bought the truck, stripped the oil pan drain bolt, probably tightening it with an impact gun.. AGAIN another stripped bolt I had to remove, some people are beyond retarded I can't believe it! .. And the oil filter was an el cheapo no name brand.. Anyways, I hammered a socket onto the drain bolt and was able to remove it (with my impact gun, after a good 10 seconds!!) ..

Anyways, I am looking to buy a oil drain bolt in canada, anyone knows where I can find this online? Or in store but I am lazy and prefer buying online

Also, my truck is making a tick tick tick sound that follows the revs, but it's a soft tick sound and there's a member here that had this exact tick sound, it happened to be a spark plug that wasn't tighten enough, anyways, I am wondering if this could be as simple as a stuck lifter and if I would be able to hear it on the bottom of the engine?

Thanks a lot!

*** This is the post refering to the tick sound, the second video is exactly the same sound I have: https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...-engine-59116/

Actually here's a video I made the ticking sound is clear on this one..

And by the way, I feel that the truck is underpowered, it doesn't have much pickup from a stop.. Does that point to a stuck lifter?

You should be able to buy a drain bolt at a parts house. The tick noise could be a loose rocker, or several other things. check the plugs to make sure there tight. Maybe the guy that tighten the drain bolt ran out of strength when he install the plugs & could only tighten them finger tight. Could be an exhaust leak also.

Thanks I'll look into what you said, but in fact, I can't remember when I didn't hear this kind of ticking noise on a GM engine honestly, I always heared this on every GM car I owned IIRC..

Suppose it's a loose rocker, the worst case scenario where I guess it would unfastened and randomly move everywhere in the valve assembly, would it be a critical failure or the engine would be easily fixed in the event of failure?

With the heat we have over here, I'm not motivated enough in investigating though.
