Default outside door handles coming loose from the door

So mainly the driver door but the passenger door is starting to do it, from all the cold winters its been through, the door will freeze, so pulling a lot harder on the door then normal to get it open, has loosened the handle, the whole plastic assembly moves about a quarter inch from the the door, still works fine, but not sure if it will last another winter Before i take the panel off, is there a way to tighten it from the inside, or will i need some new parts? 2004 4 door blazer

This should give you an idea.. though it's a different model. Handles are the same. Read close, covers both, doesnt mean you have to remove inner.

Very detailed.

My newly acquired 02 blazer was doing that.
It was an easy fix. On the inside of the door there is a round plastic plug. Behind that is the small bolt that holds the outside handle on. Tighten it up.
Mine actually fell out and was in the door all the way at the bottom lol

Hi, What size was the screw that tightened the handle. I tried a few machine screws but none seem to fit.
